It finally happened, ‘Unconditional Love In Hi-Fi‘ is here! Our baby recorded over one year in three studios across two continents, with our incredible producers Danny Farrant and Paul Rawson guiding and honing our songs and sounds until a polished, succinct, complete album was finally brought to life.
It’s been out for a few weeks now, and has seen a tonne of streaming support from Apple Music (catch songs on The New Rock, New In Rock, New In Punk, Indigenous Now, and Breaking Hard Rock), Spotify (New Music Friday, Ready To Rock, All New Punk, Fresh Finds Rock), Amazon Music (Apologies, Fresh Alternative, Fresh Indie) and Deezer (Punk!, ASAP Rock , Grrrls!)
On radio, we’re just starting to pop up on Canadian campus charts, while we’ve been seeing some love in the US already, charting #10 on NACC Canada this week! Sirius XM has been showing us lots of love, adding our most recent single “So Mad” to The Verge, Indigiverse, and recently featuring “It’s My Year” on Rodney Bingenheimer’s show on The Underground Garage. We’ve been on the Breaking Alt Countdown Top 10 for 4 weeks in a row now, have just begun climbing the Indigenous Music Countdown, and have hit #55 on Mediabase’ Alternative Top 100 – what the heck, so stoked!
Our Western Canada tour was a huge success and we’re just getting ready to head East next week for some dates in Ontario, Ohio, New York, and Quebec! Hang tight for an awesome photo blog with shots from our travelling resident photographer/videographer Sebastian Buzzalino! Make sure you follow us on Instagram for daily Reels, stories, etc, while we’re on the road as well.
The album is here but that is definitely not the end, we have so much still coming up right now. Check out some kind words from some great magazines/blogs/music writers:
The Big Takeover (US) premiere: “With the insatiable vocals of frontwoman Miesha Louie permeating every inch of this new record, driving the anthemic sound of it ever forward, they are returning with one of their most captivating offerings to date here… Brimming with a bold and immersive sound throughout, it’ll have you pumping your fists from start to finish.”
Metal Magazine (ES): “This latest release continues to consolidate their legacy as one of the more energetic names on the Canadian music scene these last few years… We must highlight So Mad, a single that drips with a feminine ire that turns toxicity into sheer freak-out fuel. The three minutes song is full of energy and condenses the essence of their new release.”
Joyzine (UK): “‘Unconditional Love in Hi Fi’ is a rock n roll assault of an album, hitting you senseless with stomper after stomper. The whole album is filled with anthems and a determined mission to rock your socks off.”
Tinnitist (CA): “The Calgary garage-punks hit it out of the park with their essential new LP, combining ferocious riff-rock nuggets with hard-hitting topical lyrics and stylish sonic flourishes.”
